The Kría Story
The Kría Story
The Kria products are a unique union of health, science, and fashion created in LA by Albina - a Building Biologist & EMR Specialist and Heather - a Fashion Designer.
Each The Kria product is full of human warmth and care as it’s hand produced out of consciously made hand-woven fabrics.
At least 10 pairs of human hands touched each product, infusing their warmth and care into it before it gets into your hands.

The Alo-Bahmal Collection
The Alo-Bahmal Collection
The Alo-Bahmal collection items take over 30 hours of hand work to produce each product.
This includes the time that it takes to hand-spin the silk thread, hand-dying the thread, pattern compilation, weaving process, and sewing. Even the hoops on the pouches are made out of hand-woven ribbons.
Home of our Alo-Bahmal collection is Uzbekistan, the Central Asian country of the Great Silk Road.

The Oaxacan Collection
The Oaxacan Collection
The Oaxaca collection fabrics come from the Oaxaca state of Mexico, one of the most culturally rich regions of the country.
We purchased our fabrics during the of COVID time when the artisans straggled from the lack of work and customers. These fabrics were hand carried to the USA and made into the pouches in downtown Los Angeles.
On the photo: Martin is one of the family weavers who learned this craft from his father. Martin’s 10 year old son Rafael is now learning how to weave on a small loom that Martin’s grandfather made for Rafael.
